Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, your role will involve monitoring and performing ongoing maintenance on servers, storage, and Nasuni equipment. You will be responsible for providing IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding promptly to server, storage, and Nasuni issues. Your duties will include running hardware diagnostics, replacing failing parts, and collaborating with software and network engineering teams to enhance cybersecurity and network efficiency. Additionally, you will be tasked with upgrading internal system components such as CPUs, memory, hard drives, and network cables. Key Responsibilities: - Support On-premises, Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, and Terraform environments - Rack and stage servers and storage - Provide support for VMware, Hyper-V, VxRail, and Nutanix platforms - Manage Windows and Linux systems of all versions - Support Dell, EMC, and NetApp storage solutions - Assist with Nasuni implementation and maintenance - Understand and apply patches and service packs - Handle hardware onboarding and offboarding - Communicate effectively with customers and internal staff - Collaborate with contractors for system maintenance and upgrades - Document processes and maintain event logs - Advise on the procurement of new data center equipment - Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) - Utilize critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills effectively - Be flexible to work shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Linux administration - Logical analysis and problem-solving skills You will also be expected to possess decent Linux administration skills to excel in this role.,
