Job Overview:

MySQL administration and management

• PostgreSQL administration and management

• Oracle Database administration

• Installation, configuration, performance tuning, security management, backup and recovery for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle

• Database migration and upgrade planning

• Experience with replication techniques and HA (High Availability) solutions

• Troubleshooting, patch management, and proactive issue resolution

• Exposure to cloud database platforms is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases ensuring performance, availability, and security • Install, configure, and monitor databases; fine-tune for optimal performance

• Plan, implement, and test robust backup and recovery strategies

• Apply patches, security updates, and perform version upgrades

• Manage database security, encryption, and access controls

• Design and manage high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions

• Lead or participate in database migration and upgrade projects

• Collaborate closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders

• Maintain detailed documentation of database architecture, processes, and procedures

• Provide proactive issue identification and timely resolutions.
