Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in AWS RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) to manage and optimize our cloud-based database infrastructure. The role involves ensuring performance, availability, and security of database environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain databases on AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Aurora).
Perform backups, monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
Implement and manage replication, scaling, and failover strategies.
Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support deployments.
Ensure data security, compliance, and cost optimization on AWS.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AWS RDS administration.
Proficiency in SQL, database tuning, and query optimization.
Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch, IAM, EC2, and S3.
Experience in backup & recovery automation.
Good understanding of high availability and failover mechanisms.
Good to Have:
AWS Certified Database – Specialty or Solutions Architect
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
