Job Description

Designation - DB2 Administrator

Experience - 8+ Years

Role Overview:

Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements and improve database systems.
Install, upgrade, and maintain database systems ensuring high availability and security.
Design and support 24x7 high-availability solutions for mission-critical environments.
Optimize database and server performance, including hardware and OS configurations.
Develop and tune queries, stored procedures, ETL processes, and perform code reviews.
Execute schema changes, bottleneck analysis, and ensure efficient recovery/restores.
Plan for scalability and future growth of database systems.
Ensure compliance with vendor licensing and security standards (PCI-DSS Level 1).
Handle reporting, data import/export in formats like CSV, XML, and unstructured data.
Document processes and provide technical support, including on-call production support.
Learn and adapt to new technologies and assist in architecture and design initiatives.
