Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will design, implement, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems, developing procedures for daily maintenance, and resolving any issues that arise. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that database systems are functioning efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: -Hands on DB2 , Have experience in data migration activities from DB to DB or DB to cloud DB - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Monitor database performance and implement necessary optimizations. - Assist in the development of database policies and procedures to ensure data integrity. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM DB2 Database Administration. - Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization of database systems. - Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for database management. - Knowledge of SQL and database query optimization techniques. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in IBM DB2 Database Administration. - This position is based at our Chennai office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
