Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining the Legal team responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company, including providing legal counsel across the organization, handling disputes, and creating and enforcing intellectual property. In this role, you will work with the Head of Privacy Governance as a Privacy Specialist, supporting ResMed's mission to enhance the quality of life for patients, customers, and partners. Your primary focus will be on ensuring ResMed's compliance with global privacy requirements, particularly relating to data subject requests, privacy incident management, and privacy notices. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the point of contact for global data subject requests, coordinating and streamlining processes for multiple business lines across different regions - Handle initial intake from various channels and assist with responses to inquiries from regulators, customers, patients, team members, customer support, and partners - Assist in global privacy governance projects, including compliance with privacy laws from various states and federal regulations - Track and support privacy incident response activities, collaborating with stakeholders, including the cybersecurity response team - Assist in implementing and periodically reviewing policies, notices, and practices to ensure compliance with ResMed's global privacy obligations - Research, monitor, and summarize changes in privacy laws and regulations, understanding their implications for ResMed's digital health solutions - Prepare resources to support privacy compliance, conduct privacy-related training, and address questions on privacy compliance Qualifications Required: - Experience working in a global privacy team at a multinational company - Ability to organize and streamline complex privacy requirements across business lines and jurisdictions - Project management experience and ability to drive cross-functional projects in high-pressure situations - Relevant privacy experience in law firms, consultancies, or in-house, preferably in the medical device industry or technology sector - Bachelor's degree, with law or business studies preferred - Proficiency in English language - Knowledge and experience in global privacy laws and data protection frameworks - Customer service focus with excellent analytical and problem resolution skills - One or more certifications from recognized institutions, such as IAPP's CIPP certification or equivalent, is preferred - Familiarity with Privacy management and automation tools like OneTrust is a plus - Experience working in diverse teams, cultural awareness, and willingness to adjust work hours to time zone requirements (Note: The additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description),
