We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration & Automation Engineer with strong experience in MongoDB, MS SQL Server/Azure SQL Database, and hands-on expertise across both SQL and NoSQL environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data migration, automation of pipelines for data comparison and validation, and working with heterogeneous database systems. Experience in PostgreSQL is desirable as a secondary skill.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement backend solutions to support data-intensive migration workflows

Lead and execute data migration strategies across diverse systems including SQL and NoSQL databases

Develop and maintain automated pipelines for data comparison, validation, and transformation

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security during migration and transformation processes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine data management and migration strategies

Troubleshoot and optimize performance in MongoDB and MS SQL Server/Azure SQL DB environments

Document standards, processes, and best practices for data operations and migration

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in backend development and database engineering

Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB (NoSQL) and MS SQL Server / Azure SQL Database

Solid understanding of data migration, transformation, and automation

Proficiency in SQL scripting and data comparison techniques

Experience in building automated ETL/ELT pipelines and scripting with Python or Shell

Exposure to CI/CD pipeline tools for automation workflows

Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred / Secondary Skills:

Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (as a secondary RDBMS)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes

Exposure to big data technologies and data lakes is a plus
