About the Opportunity

Job Nexus India is hiring a Data Entry Assistant for one of its client organisations. This role is suitable for freshers or early-career professionals who are detail-oriented and interested in building a foundation in data operations and administrative support.


Role Overview

The Data Entry Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating trackers, and supporting teams with structured data-related tasks. The role requires consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting defined timelines.


Key Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities

  • Enter data into Google Sheets, Excel, or internal tracking systems
  • Update records, lists, and databases as per instructions
  • Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and correct formatting
  • Follow predefined naming conventions and data templates
  • Identify and flag missing, incorrect, or unclear information
  • Update task status in shared trackers or task management tools


Weekly Responsibilities

  • Review and clean existing data to remove errors or duplicates
  • Ensure all assigned sheets and trackers are up to date
  • Share weekly status updates on completed tasks
  • Support teams with additional data-related work when required


Skills & Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable with data entry, formatting, and simple tracking
  • Ability to follow structured instructions and templates
