CPW ETL Test Engineer I:
CPW is the joint venture of Nestle and General Mills. CPW, Data Engineering team at CMI works on harmonization of data across 52+ markets to produce one consolidated Global data warehouse hosted on MS Azure which is used for Global performance evaluation of our brands & track the competitive space, build Analytical solutions and share insights on Business Performances across the Globe.
We are looking for an experienced ETL Test Engineer to join our data engineering team with good data handling, problem solving and communication skills. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of datasets published by our engineers. The candidate will be responsible for validating datasets, monthly data harmonization outputs, and ensuring alignment with business requirements.

Validate the datasets published by the Data engineering team.

Validate monthly harmonization processes and outputs.

Lead data enhancements initiatives for mapping and harmonization

Understand requests from business teams and translate them into testing scenarios.

Functionally and technically validate ETL processes and outputs against business rules.

Write complex SQL + Python queries to validate transformations, aggregations, and reconciliations.

Use advanced Excel skills for data validation and analysis.

Document test results, raise defects, and track resolutions effectively.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing

Must have basic experience on Azure Cloud

Strong SQL (non-negotiable), Python & Excel skills with proven ability to write complex queries

Strong understanding of data flows, ETL processes, and data validation techniques

Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional and technical test cases.

Good communication in articulating the defects clearly documenting the required evidence and to re-test the issues until closure

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Great communication skills - speaks, reads and writes English fluently

Prior experience working with variety of data sources - FMCG preferred

Experience in Azure Databricks is a plus
