Job Title: Senior Data Scientist Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong experience in development of Gen AI products. You will be a part of the MBRDI Innovation Team and would have end-to-end responsibility - from data preparation and model training to deployment and monitoring - for the development of various AI products needed to enable and drive the innovation for Mercedes-Benz. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying machine learning models, particularly leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), to analyze diverse datasets (IP data, market data, etc.) and generate visual and qualitative insights on emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and strategic opportunities. Responsibilities: • AI Model Development & Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models, including those based on LLMs, for analyzing diverse datasets and generating strategic insights. • Data Engineering & Pipeline Development: Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large-scale datasets from various sources. • LLM Expertise & Implementation: Leverage your deep understanding of LLMs to develop and implement innovative AI-powered features and functionalities. • Data Analysis & Feature Engineering: Conduct in-depth data analysis, identify relevant features, and develop feature engineering strategies to improve model performance. • Model Evaluation & Optimization: Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics, identify areas for improvement, and optimize models for accuracy and efficiency. • Cloud Infrastructure & Scalability: Design and implement scalable cloud-based infrastructure for deploying and managing AI models. • Visual & Qualitative Insights Generation: Develop algorithms and techniques for generating visual and qualitative insights from complex data, including trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, and strategic opportunity identification. • Experience in full stack development is a very strong plus: Build and maintain web applications and work on both front-end and back-end development, ensuring smooth integration and high performance of the applications. • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with the business team and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Research & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and contribute to research and innovation efforts. Qualifications and Skills: • Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. • Minimum 6 years of experience in data science or machine learning engineering, with a proven track record of building and deploying successful Gen AI products. Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications. • Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and statistical modeling. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. • Skilled in web technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (React, Angular). • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their AI/ML services. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
