Dear Team,
Please find below the Job Description for the Fresher Cyber Security Analyst role. This profile is suitable for candidates at the entry level with foundational knowledge in networking, systems, and cybersecurity concepts.
Role: Fresher Cyber Security Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor security alerts and events under the guidance of senior analysts
Assist in basic incident analysis and troubleshooting
Support daily SOC operations and security monitoring activities
Perform basic log analysis and documentation
Follow security procedures, SOPs, and escalation processes
Assist in vulnerability assessment and security hygiene tasks
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Basic understanding of CCNA-level networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching)
Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) concepts (users, groups, GPO basics)
Hands-on or academic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals:
Malware, phishing, ransomware
Firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS
Basic SIEM concepts
Awareness of security best practices and cyber threats
Preferred Skills:
Basic knowledge of SOC operations and incident response
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools or labs
Certifications or training in CCNA, Security+, or cybersecurity courses (added advantage)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
