What would you do? In this role the incumbent will use their working knowledge and experience with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), IRS/DOL/SEC regulations on qualified/non-qualified retirement plans, financial reporting, Form 5500 preparation, employee benefit plan audits, and retirement plan provisions as they complete their day to day activities.This role will have a dual focus based on the volumes and need of the business. Focus will be split between providing support to the financial reporting and audit support functions of the Plan Reporting & Audit Team. Knowledge and experience of the above areas will be leveraged to research and resolve reporting exceptions in the Certified Annual Reporting Package creation and delivery. Accurately communicate adjustments to plan sponsors/auditors needed in the reporting package via a footnote in the Footnote ReportPerform a multi-step review process to ensure accuracy of the final reporting packages. Complete participant directed transaction documentation requests from plan sponsors/auditors for their annual ERISA audit and regulatory agency examinations within stated service levels. Providing financial reports on adhoc basis and periodic basis for the Clients based on their requirements and assisting in preparing and reconciling Brokerage reports. Additionally preparing reconciliation report for the recordkeeping service fees and enhancing reports using Python and defining the adhoc reporting requirements using SQL to edit and define queries. Further providing support on validating the XML version of Form 5500 and Non discriminatory testing results with the financial in validating checkpoints in 408 2(b) checks for the Fees and market value from the reports
What are we looking for? Key Responsibilities and DutiesFulfill participant directed transaction documentation requests received via corporate workflow tool:oCompile documents for each of the transaction types and present them based on the direction outlined in the Fulfilling an Audit Request for Documentation for the Test of Transactions Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)oComplete close out of workflow task once the audit package has been prepared and quality reviewed in alignment with established business standardsPrepare and deliver the annual and quarterly financial reporting packagesoExecute a series of preliminary validations of reporting data for annual and quarterly reporting packages prior to completing the exception review process.oResearch exceptions generated and Footnote/bypass as applicable using the recommend solution documents for identified report exceptions.oEnsure timely delivery in alignment with established business standards based on report period end date.Provide support on adhoc reports and reconciliation requestso Providing financial reports on adhoc basis and periodic basis for the Clients based on their requirements and assisting in preparing and reconciling Brokerage reports5500 plan financial reporting and Plan audit support, compliance testingReporting and compliance knowledge and experience in Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), IRS, DOL, and SEC regulations on qualified/non-qualified retirement plans, Plan Financial Reporting, Form5500 Reporting, Employee Benefit Plan Audit, and 403(b)/401(a)(k) plan provisionsFamiliarity with GASB, FASB, GAAP, ASC sDemonstrated ability with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe AcrobatApply analytical skills in working with business and financial dataUnderstanding of retirement plan recordkeeping and regulatory concepts and methodologiesAble to manage competing priorities and deliver results in fast-paced environment within compressed timeframesExperience working in a team environment with demonstrated oral/written communication and time management skills
Roles and Responsibilities: oWhile no direct client interaction will take place, the destination of the team members work product is in the hands of our institutional clients and their auditor/consultant/Form 5500 preparer with the ultimate recipient being the US regulatory agencies that enforce the rules under ERISA.oAbility to analyze data, research exceptions, and to provide solutions. Manage risk by escalating compliance issues with internal partners to resolve procedural inquiries, audit questions, reporting issues, or data issues. oReview and deliver requested documentation for audit purposes to institutional clients, auditors, consulting firms and regulatory agencies.oUnderstanding and Demonstration of retirement plan documentation, audited financial statements, audit procedures, reporting and compliance requirements of ERISA, IRS, DOL and SEC regulatory guidance with respect to qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. oUnderstanding and Demonstration of retirement plan recordkeeping and plan administrative systems/practices.oGraduate (mandatory), preferably from commerce backgroundoExperience in the US retirement industry.oFlexible to work in US Shifts (Across time zones based on business requirement) is a must.oGood verbal & written communication skills in EnglishoGood typing skill and attention to detail.oGood working knowledge of MS ExceloGood time management skillsoAbility to work independently
