Curriculum Development Manager

The Curriculum Development Manager plays a crucial role in assisting LEAD to achieve its mission of providing excellent education to every child. Working within the curriculum team, the manager is responsible for designing top-notch curricula, assessments, books, workbooks, audio-visual content, and lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of affordable schools across India. This position seeks individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching tools and techniques to students and educators in Affordable Private Schools (APSs). The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of experience in content development and lesson planning in a specific subject. This experience should include either teaching using the developed content or working closely with educators to ensure the effective delivery of the content. A graduate degree in Engineering is preferred for those focusing on content development in Maths and Science, while a Bachelor of Arts (English) is preferred for English content development, and a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) is preferred for Social Studies content development. Furthermore, a specialization in Early Childhood Development is mandatory for those involved in content development for pre-primary education. In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Curriculum Development Manager should create error-free curriculum and content for teachers and students. They must also develop exemplar plans that serve as models for other curriculum development managers and establish design principles for the subject team to adhere to. Researching best practices, implementing innovative learning techniques in LEAD partner schools, and reviewing and offering feedback on the content produced by other managers to ensure its quality and accuracy are also part of the role. Desirable qualifications for this position include the ability to coach and enhance the skills of Curriculum Development Managers, strong problem-solving capabilities, effective communication skills, and excellent organizational skills.
