Role Overview:

Curriculum Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum and Content Development:

  Develop comprehensive and engaging English language curricula and educational content, ensuring it aligns with CEFR and other industry standards as per the given requirements.

• Content Strategy:

  Plan and oversee the development of academic content that enhances language acquisition, from beginner to advanced proficiency levels.

• Quality Assurance:

  Ensure the quality, accuracy, and relevance of all content, with a particular focus on grammar, contextual functionality, and clarity.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with the HOD and other stakeholders to align educational materials with departmental goals.

• Adaptability to Pedagogy:

  Stay updated with emerging teaching methodologies and adapt content to meet modern pedagogical needs.

• Assessment Design:

  Contribute to designing assessments that effectively evaluate language skills, ensuring alignment with the established learning objectives.

• Training and Development:

  Mentor junior curriculum developers and offer regular feedback and guidance on best practices and content creation techniques.

Key Requirements:

• Experience:

  Minimum of 6 years of experience in academic content development, curriculum design, or related roles, specifically in the English language domain.

• Language Proficiency:

  A high level of language proficiency, with a minimum of C1 level in English (spoken and written).

• CEFR Alignment:

  Experience in developing language content that adheres to CEFR standards and other industry benchmarks.

• Attention to Detail:

  A keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and the contextual functionality of the language.

• Pedagogical Knowledge:

  Strong understanding of different teaching methodologies and the ability to create content that supports diverse learning styles.

• Collaborative Mindset:

  Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Innovation and Adaptability:

  Ability to quickly adapt to new teaching trends and methods in a dynamic educational environment.

• Logical & Analytical Thinking:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education:

  PhD or Master’s degree in English, Linguistics, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), or a related field.

• Certifications:

  Relevant certifications in English language teaching, curriculum development, or content creation (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL).

• Experience with eLearning:

  Familiarity with eLearning tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or instructional design tools is a plus.
