The team focuses on complex adult and selected pediatric cardiothoracic procedures, evidence-based perioperative management, and multidisciplinary critical-care pathways to optimise patient outcomes.Position:
Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon (CTVS Surgeon)
— On-site, India. We seek an experienced cardiac surgeon to join a busy operative roster, contribute to service expansion, and lead high-quality perioperative care in a modern OR and ICU setting.Role & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and triage pre-operative cardiac and vascular surgical patients; define operative plans and communicate risks and benefits to patients and families.
- Perform major cardiothoracic operations including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic surgery, and complex thoracic procedures with consistent operative excellence.
- Manage intraoperative perfusion strategy and collaborate with perfusionists for cardiopulmonary bypass and off-pump procedures to minimise morbidity.
- Provide post-operative care in ICU and wards—lead daily rounds, manage complications, and drive early recovery protocols.
- Work closely with cardiology, anesthesiology, vascular surgery, and critical-care teams to develop hybrid and endovascular care pathways and multidisciplinary clinics.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, training of residents/trainees, and maintain documentation and compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Coronary artery bypass-grafting(CABG)
- Valve repair andreplacement
- Thoracic aortic surgery
- Off-pump coronary arterybypass(OPCAB)
- Cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB) management
- Transesophageal echocardiography(TEE)
Preferred
- Minimally invasive cardiac surgery
- Ventricular assist device(VAD) implantation
- Endovascular/hybrid operating room experience
Minimum Qualifications
- MBBS with MS/MD and MCh (Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery) or equivalent postgraduate surgical qualifications recognized in India.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council/State Medical Council and demonstrated clinical experience in a tertiary cardiac centre.
- Current ACLS certification and experience managing high-acuity postoperative cardiac ICU patients; willingness to participate in on-call rota.
