Job Description

As an Underwriter at the company, you will play a strategic role in shaping credit strategies for private credit transactions and the credit financing business, particularly focusing on structured credit and securitization related credit facilities. Your responsibilities include: - Appropriately assessing credit risk and other risk considerations, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, as well as internal policies and ethical standards. - Collaborating with bankers to underwrite credit extensions of securitization facilities, making sound credit decisions while adhering to internal procedures and credit risk policies. - Conducting due diligence, preparing detailed credit memos, and monitoring transaction and portfolio trends. - Keeping updated on industry research and developments, and ensuring compliance with credit risk policies and regulatory standards. - Identifying process improvements and efficiencies to support business unit goals, and providing backup support to Credit Underwriting Group Manager. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10 years of previous credit authority experience within a financial institution, with familiarity working in regulatory and compliance environments. - Proven analytical skills in assessing structural components of transactions and knowledge of structured finance/securitization. - Strong organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in various business applications. - Bachelor's/University degree required, Master's degree preferred.
