Credit Financing - Collateralized Loan Obligation - Vice President

As an Underwriter at Citi, your role involves staying updated on developments within the field of structured credit and securitization related credit facilities. Your responsibilities include appropriately assessing credit risk, supporting bankers in underwriting requests, participating in due diligence, conducting ongoing monitoring of transactions, and keeping abreast of industry developments. You will also be required to maintain compliance with Citibank Wholesale Credit Risk policies and assist in identifying process improvements to support business growth and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Appropriately assess credit risk and other risk considerations, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations - Interface with bankers to underwrite credit extensions and ensure compliance with internal procedures - Participate in due diligence and prepare detailed credit memos for monitoring and reviews - Monitor individual transactions and portfolio trends in a timely manner - Keep updated on industry research, developments, and rating agency criteria - Maintain compliance with Citibank Wholesale Credit Risk policies and regulatory policies - Identify process improvements and efficiencies to reduce costs and improve customer service levels - Provide backup support to Credit Underwriting Group Manager and mentor lower-level Credit Officers - Other duties as required to support business growth and regulatory compliance Qualifications: - 10 years of previous credit authority experience within a financial institution - Familiarity working in a regulatory, compliance, policy environment - Proven analytical skills in assessing structural components of transactions, quality of assets, and asset managers" capabilities - Demonstrated knowledge of structured finance/securitization of Private Credit, Middle Market or Broadly Syndicated Loans - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills - Proficiency in various business applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint Education: - Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred This job description provides an overview of the work performed as an Underwriter at Citi.
