Credit audit Manager/ Sr Manager/ AVP- SME/ Wholesale _Bank_Mumbai

To conduct independent reviews of credit portfolios under Wholesale Banking, ensuring adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk management frameworks. The role focuses on identifying credit risk gaps, assessing portfolio quality, and recommending improvements to strengthen the credit process and control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Audit & Review:

• Conduct detailed audits of wholesale banking credit portfolios (corporate, SME, real estate, structured finance, etc.).
• Evaluate end-to-end credit processes from appraisal, sanction, documentation, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assess credit risk rating models, approval notes, and adherence to sanction terms.
• Identify process lapses, policy deviations, and potential risk exposures.
  

2. Compliance & Risk Assessment:

• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, internal credit policy, and Basel norms.
• Highlight early warning signals and recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Track key risk indicators (KRIs) and report high-risk accounts to senior management.
  

3. Reporting & Recommendations:

• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable findings and risk ratings.
• Present audit results to Credit Risk, Business, and Senior Audit Committee.
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations and closure of open issues.
  

4. Process Improvement:

• Suggest enhancements in credit underwriting, monitoring, and documentation processes.
• Support automation and digitization initiatives in audit and risk monitoring.
  

Desired Qualification:

• CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent qualification.
  

Experience:

• 410 years of experience in Credit Audit / Credit Risk Review / Internal Audit within a Bank or NBFC.
• Prior exposure to wholesale or corporate banking credit portfolios is mandatory.
