Position: Couture Designer – Bridal & Occasionwear Company: Tailorworks Company Role Overview: Tailorworks Company is seeking a seasoned and refined Couture Designer to lead the creation of bespoke wedding and special occasion garments for both Indian and international clientele. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of couture construction and embroidery, have exceptional fabric sourcing and finishing skills, and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-touch, personalized design experiences. Prior experience in luxury, custom-made clothing is essential. Key Responsibilities: Design Conceptualization & Customization Design one-of-a-kind couture outfits tailored for weddings, receptions, pre-wedding functions, and formal occasions Interpret client briefs to develop moodboards, detailed sketches, and embroidery layouts aligned with their personal vision Combine Indian craftsmanship with global silhouettes for both Indian and international clients Innovate with modern yet timeless silhouettes and exquisite detailing Bespoke Development & Client Collaboration Deliver premium bespoke services to discerning clients, ensuring fit, comfort, and exclusivity Handle client consultations directly, guiding them through fabric, style, and design decisions Manage design modifications and conduct multiple fittings with precision and discretion Provide wardrobe guidance for complete bridal trousseaus or event-specific requirements Embroidery & Technical Mastery Develop and direct embroidery work using techniques like zardozi, aari, gota, resham, sequin, and contemporary surface ornamentation Guide tailors and artisans in constructing garments with premium linings, inner structures, and flawless finish Supervise top-lining, boning, can-can, and other couture-level inner support systems Material & Fabric Sourcing Source luxurious fabrics (silks, velvets, tulles, nets, brocades, organzas) from trusted and innovative suppliers Select embellishments, threads, linings, and trims based on each design’s requirements Stay updated on global textile and embroidery trends and innovations Production & Quality Control Coordinate with master tailors, pattern makers, and production teams for accurate garment execution Supervise every stage from sampling to final trial and ensure all couture standards are met Maintain quality benchmarks in finish, fit, stitch detailing, embroidery, and structure Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design from a top design institute (NIFT, NID, Pearl, Parsons, etc.) 5-7 years of experience in couture design, including bridal and occasionwear Proven experience working directly with both Indian and international clients on bespoke and customized garments Deep knowledge of Indian and Western silhouettes, hand embroidery techniques, couture construction, and fittings Strong ability to translate client briefs into finished luxury garments Highly presentable, confident, and professional in handling premium clientele Exceptional communication, styling, and negotiation skills Adept at managing timelines, budgets, and multiple orders simultaneously What We Offer: Creative leadership in one of India’s leading couture studios Access to global fabrics, high-profile clients, and premium resources A collaborative environment with master craftsmen and top stylists Competitive compensation and opportunities to grow with the brand globally Platform to showcase your creations through campaigns, editorials, and fashion Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹11,296.18 - ₹40,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Work Location: In person
