The Counsellor will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting candidates through the training and placement process. Your responsibilities will include candidate walk-in management, counselling candidates about our institute and available job roles, conducting psychometric analysis, registering candidates on the Foreign Job Portal, enrolling candidates in training programs, and providing counselling support to rejected candidates. This position requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and counselling skills.
1) Candidate Walk-in Management:
a) Welcome and assist candidates who visit the institute, providing them with information about our programs and services.
b) Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for candidates, ensuring a positive experience during their visit.
c) Respond to candidate inquiries and address their concerns promptly and professionally.
2) Counselling of Candidates about role of SIIC and available Job Roles:
a) Conduct individual counselling sessions to guide candidates on the training programs, career prospects, and available job roles.
b) Provide comprehensive information about our institute, its mission, vision, and core values.
c) Assess candidates' interests, skills, and qualifications to align them with suitable training programs and job opportunities.
3) Psychometric Analysis of Candidate:
a) Administer and interpret psychometric assessments to assess candidates' aptitudes, interests, and personality traits.
b) Analyze assessment results and provide candidates with insights and recommendations for their career development.
c) Use psychometric analysis to guide candidates in making informed decisions about training programs and job choices.
4) Registration of Candidates on Foreign Job Portal:
a) Facilitate the registration process for candidates on the Foreign Job Portal, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
b) Guide candidates through the registration steps, including creating profiles, uploading required documents, and completing necessary forms.
c) Monitor the registration progress and address any issues or obstacles faced by candidates.
5) Enrolment of Candidates in Training Program:
a) Collaborate with the training team to facilitate the enrolment of candidates into suitable training programs.
b) Assist candidates in understanding the training program options, eligibility criteria, and selection process.
c) Coordinate with trainers and administrators to ensure a smooth transition for enrolled candidates.
6) Rejected Candidate Counselling and Re-aligning them to Other Job Opportunities:
a) Provide counselling support to candidates who have been rejected from training or placement opportunities.
b) Help rejected candidates understand the reasons for rejection and provide guidance on alternative job opportunities or training paths.
c) Re-align rejected candidates with suitable options and assist them in exploring alternative avenues for career growth.
a) Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, or a related field.
b) Proven experience as a Counsellor or in a similar role, preferably in the training and placement industry.
c) Strong counselling skills with the ability to establish rapport and provide support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
d) Knowledge of psychometric assessment tools and their application in career counselling.
e) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively and empathize with candidates' concerns.
f) Ability to guide individuals in decision-making processes and provide career-related advice.
g) Familiarity with registration processes on online job portals.
h) Proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to maintain accurate records.
