Job Summary:

Costing / Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Study project specifications, technical requirements, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and identify materials, bought-outs, fabrication, labour, and subcontracting costs.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to gather inputs for estimation.
• Analyse customer RFQs (Request for Quotation) and generate detailed costing sheets.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers to the sales team.
• Track costing vs. actuals post-order to improve future estimations.
• Update costing database and standard cost sheets regularly.
• Support in pricing strategies and margin calculation for competitive bidding.
• Participate in project review and kickoff meetings when required.
• Coordinate with vendors for outsourced job costing and rate validation.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

   BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline

• Experience:

   2-4 years in costing/estimation in capital equipment or machinery manufacturing industries (preferably food processing, special purpose machines, or turnkey projects)

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and production processes
• Proficiency in 

  MS Excel, AutoCAD

   and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
• Sound commercial acumen with cost awareness
• Good communication skills in 

  English, Hindi, and Marathi

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail, with a systematic and analytical approach
• Knowledge of materials, fabrication rates, machining, and outsourced processes
