Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing strategic plans, managing finances, building a high-performing team, ensuring compliance, and collaborating closely with the CEO to drive company growth, all while navigating the unique challenges of the Indian startup ecosystem

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the company's vision and market dynamics.
    • Translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, ensuring efficiency and smooth functioning.
    • Implement and optimize operational processes, including quality control, cost management, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Building and Leadership:

    • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing cross-functional team.
    • Foster a positive work culture and promote collaboration within the team.
    • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for team members
  • Financial Oversight:

    • Manage the company's budget and financial planning.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and make informed business decisions.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure adherence to all relevant Indian laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including investors, partners, vendors, and government agencies.
    • Effectively communicate company strategy and progress to stakeholders

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proven track record:

    Minimum 17 years of experience in senior operations roles within a fast-paced environment, ideally in the Indian startup ecosystem.
  • Business Acumen:

    Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and strategic planning.
  • Leadership Skills:

    Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, build consensus, and create a high-performing culture.
  • Analytical Skills:

    Data-driven decision making with strong analytical skills to identify trends and solve complex problems.
  • Adaptability:

    Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Communication Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
