The Conversion Officer is the dedicated closer who ensures no opportunity slips through.
Role Overview
The Conversion Officer s sole mandate is
to convert every conditional offer into an unconditional offer and every unconditional offer into a paid deposit
. This is a performance-heavy role where speed, persistence, and follow-through decide success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Offer Management
Track all conditional offers within assigned agent portfolios.
Guide agents and students on clearing conditions (documents, academics, compliance, etc.).
Ensure timely submissions to admissions/university teams until unconditional offer is issued.
2. Deposit Conversion
Immediately follow up with agents once unconditional offers are released.
Push urgency around deposit deadlines, limited seats, and visa timelines.
Overcome objections and negotiate with agents/students to secure payment.
3. Agent Engagement
Call, follow-up, and chase daily with agents to ensure cases don t stall.
Maintain strong relationships with high-potential agents, ensuring they prioritize our Ultra Focused and priority universities.
Escalate non-responsive agents and push for action through BDMs/Regional Managers. Build relationships with agents so that they are independently able to close offers without the help of the BDM/RM
4. Coordination with University Operations & Admissions
Liaise with admissions/university operations team to fast-track condition clearance.
Escalate stuck cases and secure resolutions quickly.
Maintain awareness of unique USPs, scholarships, and fee waivers that can trigger deposits.
5. Reporting & Funnel Discipline
Maintain CRM with up-to-date status: Conditional Unconditional Deposit.
Share daily and weekly conversion reports by agent, region, and university.
Analyze where in the funnel cases are stuck and propose corrective action.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
1 3 years of experience in
sales conversions, channel sales, counselling or student recruitment
. Strong follow-up discipline and persistence.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills; comfortable with daily outbound calls.
Ability to handle objections and push towards closure.
Proficiency with CRM tools, Excel, and pipeline tracking.
Preferred:
Prior experience in international education, admissions, counselling or agent management.
Understanding of university offer conditions and deposit processes.
Exposure to fast-paced, target-driven sales environments.
