JD Procurement / Contracts and Commercial Manager

1. Location: Gurgaon

2. Work exp : 4 -7 years

3. Primary Objective :

   To manage all contractual, financial, and commercial aspects of the project to ensure legal compliance, profitability, risk mitigation, and effective stakeholder coordination across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction stages

4. Responsibilities:

a. Contract Management (Client & Subcontractors)

• Review and negotiate the main EPC contract with the client.
• Draft, negotiate, and administer subcontractor and vendor contracts, ensuring clarity on scope, deliverables, timelines, and penalties.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, including milestone payments, performance obligations, and liquidated damages.

b. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Develop and manage the project budget, cash flow forecasts, and cost tracking systems.
• Review and validate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for all components:
• Site development
• Electrical infrastructure (transformers, cabling, etc.)
• EV chargers
• Utility connection and metering
• Monitor actual vs. budgeted costs and explain variances

c. Payment Management & Invoicing

• Develop and manage the project payment schedule based on contract milestones.
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications, ensuring all required documentation is attached.
• Follow up on payment certification and disbursements.
• Ensure back-to-back payment terms with subcontractors to protect project cash flow.

Procurement & Vendor Interface Support

• Work closely with procurement to ensure commercial terms (incoterms, taxes, delivery penalties) are correctly applied.
• Review vendor quotations and assist in bid evaluations.
• Ensure that supply contracts account for warranties, after-sales service, and spare parts

Skills required :

• Contract law knowledge (EPC contract standards)
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
• Financial acumen (project finance, cost control, forecasting)
• Tools: ERP systems, Excel, Power BI, SAP
• Understanding of EV infrastructure components and grid interconnection requirements
