Job Description

Role Overview: As a venue operations manager at Book My Show Live, your main responsibility will be to plan and manage the day-to-day venue operations of events. This involves coordinating with various teams, both internal and external, managing logistics, and ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of events. You will lead a team to ensure all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities, delivering events on time and within budget. Your role will require a blend of organizational skills, leadership abilities, and attention to detail to meet client expectations and operational standards effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Event Planning: Collaborate with all heads of departments to ensure effective planning for event delivery to all stakeholders. - Budget Planning: Work with all department heads to ensure cost-effectiveness of each budget. - Layouts: Coordinate across all departments to optimize venue layout and flows for the event day. - Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and materials. - Logistics Coordination: Oversee logistics, including the delivery of goods to the event site. - Signage: Develop a signage plan with the brands department for venue ingress and egress. - Accreditation: Ensure accreditation is planned according to the size and type of event. - Crisis Management: Address issues quickly and efficiently during events to minimize impact. - Compliance: Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations. - Document Management: Follow and maintain document management practices. - Post-Event Evaluation: Review event success and make recommendations for future improvements, collaborating with business teams and departments for post-event evaluation. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in event planning and management. - Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities. - Providing leadership, motivation, direction, and support to your team. - Experience in project and strategy planning, time and risk management. - Problem-solving aptitude and ability to adapt to last-minute changes effectively. - Understanding and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. - Experience with budget management and cost control. - Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed, including travel to different venues for specific events.,
