Role Overview: As a Hydrogeologist / groundwater modeller at Arcadis, you will be responsible for leading and delivering complex groundwater and hydrogeology projects related to infrastructure and the environment. Your work will involve using prescribed methods for various data analysis and modelling assignments as part of groundwater and contaminant fate and transport modelling projects. A sound understanding of physical hydrogeology and hydrology is required, with a strong knowledge of chemical hydrogeology being an advantage. You will lead and manage the hydrogeology aspects of Site Evaluation & Restoration (SER) projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your role will also involve conducting comprehensive site investigations, interpreting and evaluating data to identify environmental risks, and developing appropriate mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites, oversee remediation projects, ensure regulatory compliance, manage client relationships, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support business development efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage hydrogeology aspects of Site Evaluation & Restoration (SER) projects - Conduct comprehensive site investigations including aquifer tests, soil and groundwater sampling - Interpret and evaluate data to identify environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies - Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites - Ensure regulatory compliance with environmental standards - Build and maintain client relationships - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions - Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities and preparing proposals Qualifications Required: - A master's degree in hydrogeology, water resource engineering, or environmental engineering preferred - Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in groundwater modelling and hydrogeology - Detailed understanding of infrastructure and environmental services - Experience in managing hydrological and hydrogeological data, developing conceptual models, and interpreting data - Expertise in groundwater control system design - Proficiency in groundwater modelling programs such as FEFLOW, MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3DMS and PREEQC - Familiarity with model processing software such as Groundwater Vistas and FEFLOW - Experience with mathematical software such as Python and R - Strong analytical and communication skills - Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and guidelines - Professional certifications such as P.G. (Professional Geologist) or P.E.
