JD for the role of Associate/Consultant
Deals – Debt and special situation
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented candiate to join our team, specializing in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) matters(including liquidation), Cash Flow Monitoring and Deals understanding(diligence buy/sell side). This role provides a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in insolvency resolution processes under the IBC framework, along with hands-on exposure to financial planning, liquidity management, cash flow and Deals analysis.
Key Responsibilities Areas (KRAs)
Support the team in managing Corporate Insolvency Resolution Processes (CIRP) and Liquidation Processes.
Draft notices, agendas, and minutes for Committee of Creditors (CoC) meetings.
Help in the verification and collation of claims from creditors under the IBC process.
Maintain and organize documentation required for IBC compliance
Monitor and analyze the daily, weekly, and monthly cash flows of client companies
Prepare Cash Flow Statements and Cash Flow Projections to ensure liquidity management
Identify cash flow trends, variances, and risks, and report them to management.
Support in budgeting and financial planning processes.
Be an active part of the teams supporting Business Restructuring projects, coordinate work efforts with clients, drive the delivery of defined deliverables, communicate progress to all parties as necessary
Getting involved in Restructuring engagements which are advanced and complex in nature;
Developing an understanding of the business, competitive positioning, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, challenges etc. of the target business
Production of quality deliverables (including Excel and Power Point documents) within agreed timescales, briefing Partner/Director/Senior Manager accordingly. On larger deals this may involve responsibility for the production of discrete sections. This will include:
Review and analysis of historical trading, cash flow and balance sheets
Review and analysis of financial projections, and underlying assumptions
Sensitivity analysis, financial ratios etc
Evaluate the operating trends, quality of earnings, maintainability of EBITDA, working capital & cash flows considerations, net debt (debt and debt like items) etc.
To ensure compliance with risk management procedures and activities
Working on Business development work, pitch books and proposals
Competencies
1. Strong communication skills – written and verbal
2. Good technical knowledge and analytical capabilities
3. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and other standard daily productivity tools.
4. Interpersonal relationships
Basic Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA, CFA
1-4 years of post-qualification experience in financial due diligence, preferably with a Big 6 accounting firm.
