Computer Teacher

As a Computer Educator at Ashraya Initiative for Children located in Pune, you will be crucial in advancing educational opportunities and shaping the futures of vulnerable children in Pune, India. AIC has been dedicated to enrolling and supporting the education of hundreds of out-of-school children from the streets and slums since 2005, aiming to transform communities within a single generation. - Instruct students from grades 1 to 10 on computer science concepts, digital literacy, and practical technology skills. - Plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student performance, and prepare students for using technology effectively in their academic and future professional lives. - Develop and update curriculum and teaching materials, design assessments, create a positive learning environment, collaborate with other teachers, and provide additional support to students through tutoring or academic and career planning. To qualify for this position, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Teaching certification or licensure. - Prior teaching experience in computer science or technology education. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, HTML, Canva, Google interfaces, and Microsoft Office. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A passion for teaching and inspiring students.
