Okay, here's a job description for a Compliance Officer at General Group, Surat Job Title: Compliance Officer Reports To: Managing Director Job Summary: The Compliance Officer will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of compliance related to GRS (Global Recycled Standard), OCS (Organic Content Standard), RCS (Recycled Claim Standard), and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certifications. This role involves ensuring adherence to all requirements, preparing and reviewing documentation, and facilitating audits. Key Responsibilities: * Coordinate and manage the certification processes for GRS, OCS, RCS, and GOTS. * Prepare and maintain Transaction Certificates (TCs) and other required documentation. * Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. * Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess compliance. * Liaise with certification bodies and other relevant stakeholders. * Monitor changes in regulations and standards and update procedures accordingly. * Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters. * Investigate and resolve any compliance issues or discrepancies. * Maintain accurate records of all compliance activities. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., textile science, environmental science, quality management). * Proven experience in compliance or quality control, preferably within the textile or related industry. * In-depth knowledge of GRS, OCS, RCS, and GOTS standards. * Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices. * Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Skills: * Experience with supply chain management. * Familiarity with international trade regulations. * Additional certifications or training in compliance-related areas.
