Role Description

Newby Teas is looking for an experienced individual to join as a Company Secretary. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kolkata. The Company Secretary will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks will include managing company records, preparing board meeting agendas, drafting minutes, liaising with stakeholders, ensuring filing deadlines are met, and advising on corporate governance practices. The role requires collaboration across departments to maintain adherence to legal and organizational standards.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of corporate governance, legal compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders and board members.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents such as minutes, agreements, and compliance reports.
  • Proficiency in office software and document management systems.
  • Professional certification as a Company Secretary (ACS/FCS) is required; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and the ability to work independently.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or related field is desirable.
