Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Systems Capacity
- Develop and institutionalise communication processes, guidelines, and templates that support CEEPs decentralised model (e.g., version control, audience mapping, safeguarding protocols).
- Build internal capacities by facilitating writing workshops, messaging clinics, and one-on-one editorial coaching for researchers.
- Set up systems to manage communication pipelines, publication calendars, and structured internal reviews.
Writing, Editorial Content Support
- Provide high-level writing and editorial support to research teams on outputs such as policy briefs, reports, blogs, op-eds, and presentations, ensuring clarity, accessibility, narrative strength, and alignment with CEEPs tone.
- Guide the packaging of technical content for multiple audiences, including hyperlocal communities, CSO partners, regulators, and media, with particular attention to energy transition and governance narratives.
- Uphold safeguarding, consent, and participatory principles in all external storytelling and visuals, ensuring communications centre dignity and agency.
Dissemination, Amplification Learning
- Develop dissemination strategies for key research outputs and campaigns, identifying audiences, channels, and core messages.
- Oversee digital content and social media strategy in collaboration with team members.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and strategic communication partners.
- Establish light systems to capture feedback and learning on communication products (e.g., engagement metrics, qualitative insights), feeding these into future strategies.
Internal Alignment Organisational Collaboration
- Foster an internal culture that values communication as integral to research and advocacy, not an add-on.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure that communication efforts align with organisational priorities and advocacy directions.
- Support documentation of impact and learning to strengthen CEEPs positioning and accountability.
