Strategic Supply Chain Lead Purpose of the role: A Strategic SCM Lead in the manufacturing industry is responsible for shaping and executing the overall supply chain strategy to achieve business objectives. This role focuses on long-term planning, strategic partnerships, and optimizing the entire supply chain network to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Key Result Areas: Strategic Planning and Leadership: Developing and implementing long-term supply chain strategies aligned with the company's overall goals. Supply Chain Optimization: Identifying and implementing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance responsiveness throughout the supply chain. Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential supply chain disruptions and risks, including natural disasters, geopolitical instability, and supplier issues. Demand Planning and Forecasting: Working with sales and marketing to accurately forecast demand and ensure sufficient inventory to meet customer needs. Logistics and Transportation: Overseeing the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, including selecting transportation modes and optimizing logistics processes. Inventory Management: Implementing and monitoring inventory control methods to minimize holding costs while ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand. Performance Measurement: Tracking and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement. Team Leadership and Development: Motivating and developing a high-performing supply chain team Key Tasks: Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies for TTL to improve overall customer experience (Quality & Delivery) and achieve profitability targets. Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, align inventory levels, and manage stock availability to meet customer demands. To work with operations team to ensure the manufacturing cost, procurement and achieve product level profitability. Lead monthly & quarterly demand & supply review with stakeholders to ensure achievement of cost & customer service metrics i.e., availability andinventory optimization. Monitor and analyse supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive actions. Oversee customer experience function; work with customer experience team to improve and systemize the processes on Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP). Build a connect with suppliers for seamless supply management and for driving several initiatives like vendor managed inventory model. Liaise with global teams, monitor market trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to adapt supply chain strategies accordingly. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Key skills & Competencies required: Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate strategies, motivate teams, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions to supply chain challenges. Strategic Thinking and Planning: Ability to develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies. Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Principles and Practices: Deep understanding of all aspects of the supply chain, including sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning. Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in supply chain management, is highly desirable. Experience in leading supply chain improvement projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication, negotiation & team management skills. Masters degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred.

Job Title : Lead - Manufacturing Engineering Services Reports to : Vice President - Manufacturing Location : Triveni Turbines Limited, Bangalore Job Overview : Triveni Turbines Limited is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly self-motivated leader to head the newly formed Manufacturing Engineering department. The leader will be responsible for overseeing and implementing manufacturing engineering processes, ensuring efficiency in turbine assembly and testing, precision machining (CNC and conventional), fabrication, and more. The ideal candidate will bring both deep technical knowledge and leadership experience, with a strong focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence in manufacturing. Key Responsibilities : Leadership & Department Development : Lead, mentor, and build a high-performance team for the Manufacturing Engineering department. Develop strategies to streamline manufacturing processes and ensure consistent high-quality production. Collaborate with other departments including R&D, Product Development, and Quality Assurance to align manufacturing engineering efforts with overall business goals. Process Development & Optimization : Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, including turbine assembly and testing, precision machining (CNC and conventional), and fabrication. Develop, implement and manage process planning strategies that ensure the scalability of operations in line with future growth targets by optimizing / continually improve the Manufacturing cost. Evaluate current processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Technical Leadership & Innovation : Lead the development of jigs, fixtures, and assembly line setups, ensuring they align with manufacturing requirements. Guide the development and execution of Concurrent Product and Process Development (CPPD) initiatives for new product introductions. Provide technical expertise in PPAP, FMEA, and other advanced manufacturing techniques to ensure product quality and compliance with customer requirements. New Product Development (NPD) : Support New Product Development (NPD) by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches. Ensure design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles are applied to all new products, improving manufacturability and reducing time-to-market. Quality & Compliance : Ensure manufacturing processes meet the required quality standards and industry regulations. Implement and maintain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to ensure equipment uptime and reliability. Conduct risk assessments and implement FMEA to minimize the impact of potential process failures. Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing : Champion the use of Six Sigma, Lean, and other continuous improvement tools to improve operational performance. Develop strategies to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and drive efficiency in all manufacturing operations. Lead problem-solving initiatives to resolve production issues and bottlenecks. Skills and Qualifications : Educational Qualifications : bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience : Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong experience in rotary equipment, turbines, compressors, and related manufacturing processes. Proven experience in precision machining (CNC & conventional), turbine assembly, fabrication, and testing. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, process planning, capacity planning, and industrial engineering. Hands-on experience in implementing PPAP, FMEA, and other advanced manufacturing techniques. Technical Expertise : Deep understanding of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM. Experience in concurrent product and process development (CPPD), and New Product Development (NPD). Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and automation in manufacturing environments.
