Commis Chef

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of menu items under the supervision of senior chefs.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow food safety standards at all times.
Support in mise en place and inventory management.
Learn and adapt to the hotel’s food style, presentation, and quality requirements.
Assist in minimizing food wastage and optimizing kitchen efficiency.
Ensure all equipment and utensils are cleaned and maintained properly.
Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team and other departments.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred.
1–2 years of experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
Passion for cooking and learning new cuisines.
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in a kitchen environment.

Skills & Attributes

Team player with a positive attitude.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

Preferred:

Local candidates from nearby regions will be given preference.
Familiarity with
local ingredients, regional cuisine, and sustainable cooking practices
will be an added advantage.
