Job Description

Food Preparation: Cleans, cuts, and prepares ingredients like fruits, vegetables, herbs, and salad items. Prepares various dishes, including sandwiches, salads, and vegetables. Maintains kitchen hygiene and food safety standards. Cooking: Cooks basic dishes such as bacon, potatoes, eggs, and pasta. Assists in the cooking of more complex dishes as directed by senior chefs. Mise en Place: Organizes and prepares ingredients, including chopping, washing, and seasoning, for use in cooking. Prepares ingredients for the station head and ensures heavy production demands are met. Kitchen Management: Monitors stock levels and requisitions items for the station. Accepts and stores deliveries, ensuring proper storage procedures are followed. Hygiene and Safety: Maintains a clean and organized work area. Ensures food safety by following proper handling procedures and temperature checks. Other Duties: Assists with cleaning, sanitation, and inventory. May be responsible for plating dishes. May be required to educate and guide junior chefs. Required Skills: Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food handling procedures. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety regulations. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
