Commercial Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure tracking of orders and raise sales intend immediately after receipt of orders in consultation with regional offices and technical team
• Negotiate for products with multiple domestic and international suppliers and ensure timely delivery at the best price
• Coordinate with freight forwarders , pre-shipment inspection agencies for shipments
• Negotiate with vendors, forwarders, transporters and courier agencies
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all transactions pertaining to your functional areas
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and ensure payment to them as per agreed terms and schedule
• Sales support functions coordinating with Sales team to take material forecast.
• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
• Familiar with various banking transactions for different payment methods
• Understanding of latest INCO terms to understand the terms of trade
• Track and report key functional areas to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Plan negotiation strategies with vendors to close deals with the best possible terms to reduce overall cost
• Discuss with other departments to ensure that requirements indented are clear
• Maintain price book, forecast price and market trends to internal teams
• Perform cost analysis and benchmarking
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks
• New vendor development, Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
• Proper understanding of statutory requirements

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Kannada etc (both oral and written).
• Quick learner with strong adaptability to new processes and environments.
• Sound knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
