Key Responsibilities Manage Collections: Contact clients to remind them of overdue payments and negotiate payment plans to recover debts. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of payment statuses and communications with clients regarding their accounts. Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to achieve collection targets and resolve payment discrepancies. Compliance: Ensure adherence to debt collection laws and company policies during the collection process. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on collection activities and outstanding accounts for management review. Required Skills and Qualifications Education: A high school diploma is typically required; a degree in finance or accounting is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in collections, customer service, or finance is advantageous. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective negotiation and relationship management. Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple accounts and maintain accurate records. Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve customer issues and complaints regarding billing and payments.
