Collection Executive

Job Purpose:

The Collection Officer is responsible for the effective follow-up and recovery of loans from clients in accordance with the institution’s policies. The role ensures the reduction of the non-performing loan (NPL) portfolio and promotes a culture of timely repayment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily follow-ups on overdue loan accounts.

Visit clients in their homes or businesses to remind or recover outstanding loan repayments.

Maintain accurate and updated records of all collection activities and client interactions.

Negotiate payment arrangements and restructures in accordance with company policies.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collection status and actions taken.

Identify and escalate high-risk or delinquent accounts to management.

Work closely with credit officers to resolve repayment issues.

Participate in recovery planning and strategy sessions.

Educate clients on the importance of loan repayment and financial discipline.

Ensure adherence to all company policies and regulatory guidelines in recovery practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Microfinance, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in loan collections, preferably in the microfinance or banking sector.

Knowledge of microfinance operations and lending practices.

Familiarity with the local area and ability to travel to client locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹180,000.00 per month
