Role Type: Equity-Based | Co-Founder | ₹50L Investment Commitment About Solar Capital Solar Capital is India’s first subscription-based clean energy platform that allows everyday individuals and institutions to support verified solar projects and earn monthly green rewards — without installing a single panel or dealing with regulatory complexity. We’re simplifying clean energy access for the masses and scaling solar adoption across schools, SMEs, and industries with zero upfront cost to users. Role: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) We are looking for a visionary tech leader to join as Co-Founder & CTO , who can own the platform architecture, drive product innovation, and lead the development of a secure, scalable, and regulation-compliant digital infrastructure. You will be expected to invest ₹50L as a strategic commitment to help build the platform MVP, while also gaining equity and full ownership of the tech function. Key Responsibilities Lead full-stack development (Web + App) from MVP to scale Architect and deploy: Subscription & rewards engine Wallet & green credits system BBPS-integrated bill redemption flow Live energy tracking dashboards Project listing and performance analytics Ensure tech stack is compliant with SEBI/RBI guidelines (non-investment model) Build and manage an agile tech team and vendor ecosystem Work closely with founders on strategy, product, and investor readiness Must-Have Qualifications 6+ years experience building digital platforms (preferably in fintech, cleantech, or energy tech) Strong understanding of: BBPS ecosystem / DISCOM APIs Wallet-based reward systems API integrations (RazorpayX, Setu, or similar) Familiarity with regulatory-safe architectures (non-NBFC, non-CIS, no payout-based investment products) Ability to invest ₹50L and lead tech independently Passion for renewable energy, ESG, and impact-led ventures What We Offer Significant co-founder equity (up to 15%) Strategic freedom to shape India’s first clean energy subscription platform A ready pipeline of live solar projects + investor traction Full visibility into business, legal, and capital planning Opportunity to lead a climate tech company solving real energy access challenges Bonus Skills Prior experience with RazorpayX, PhonePe BBPS, or utility APIs Exposure to IoT/SCADA for solar energy systems Experience launching MVPs or early-stage products in regulated sectors Show more Show less
