CNC Operator & Programmer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator and Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This role requires a thorough understanding of CNC programming, machine operation, and a commitment to producing accurate and efficiently manufactured components.

Responsibilities:

• CNC Programming:
• Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM software based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to determine the most efficient machining processes.
• Machine Setup and Operation:
• Set up CNC machines including loading raw materials, securing workpieces, and configuring tooling.
• Operate CNC machinery to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal production.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and rectify any issues related to tooling, machine performance, or program errors.
• Tool Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools to ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Replace or sharpen cutting tools as needed to maintain machining accuracy and efficiency.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of machining processes, adjustments made, and quality control measures taken.
• Document any issues or deviations from the production plan and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide feedback on design feasibility and suggest improvements to enhance manufacturability.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to CNC machining.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator and Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CNC programming using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Understanding of safety protocols and compliance with industry standards.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or coursework in CNC machining is a plus.
