In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.

In this context, we would be interested in recruiting suitable candidates for the position of Cluster Supervisor for RSK Higher Secondary School, Trichy & BHEL Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Trichy.

Job Description

To oversee, coordinate, and manage all administrative functions of the school, ensuring smooth operations, upkeep of facilities, compliance, resource management, and that civil/infrastructure tasks are handled effectively. The role ensures that all administrative systems are efficient, safe, and conducive to the welfare of students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all non‑academic operations for two schools, including maintenance (civil, plumbing, electrical), safety & security, housekeeping, transport, utilities, infrastructure & facilities.
• Plan, schedule and supervise civil repair, preventive maintenance, renovation or upgrades.
• Procure, manage inventory of non‑academic supplies and assets (furniture, fixtures, consumables).
• Budgeting & cost control for facility maintenance, repairs and other operational expenses in consultation with finance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (building safety, fire safety, health & hygiene, local civic laws).
• Liaise with contractors, vendors for civil, electrical, plumbing, cleaning etc.; supervise and inspect work done.
• Manage support staff (maintenance, housekeeping, transport etc.): hiring, scheduling, performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with school leadership on logistical/operational support (events, campus use, infrastructure projects).
• Maintain records of maintenance, asset register, work orders, service contracts.
• Ensure campus safety, cleanliness, and a well‑maintained physical environment.
• Prepare periodic reports (monthly/quarterly) on administrative operations, costs, issues & resolutions.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with substantial experience in civil / facilities / infrastructure / maintenance management.
• Additional qualification or certification in Facility Management or Operations Management is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil works, facility or infrastructure management, preferably in institutional / school / college / campus settings. Out of which, at least 2 years’ supervisory experience managing teams, vendors, contractors.
• Experience handling procurement, vendor management, budgeting & maintenance planning.
• Prior experience overseeing more than one site (campus/school) is desirable.

Salary shall commensurate with experience & calibre
