Job Description

Job Objective:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth:

    • Drive acquisition of premium/high-ticket size merchants within the assigned geography.
    • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets (EDC device installations, transaction volumes, and revenue KPIs).
    • Create and execute cluster-level GTM plans aligned with zonal strategy.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of frontline sales personnel.
    • Conduct regular reviews, performance tracking, and field coaching.
    • Drive accountability, productivity, and effectiveness across the team.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key merchants to ensure retention and market share.
    • Resolve merchant issues promptly through cross-functional coordination (ops, tech, support).
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:

    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
    • Provide data-driven insights and periodic performance reports to the Zonal Head.
  • Compliance & Governance:

    • Ensure adherence to onboarding policies, KYC norms, and internal quality guidelines.
    • Minimize device returns, fraud, and inactive terminals.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

    4 to 7 years of experience in sales, preferably in the payments, banking, fintech, or POS/EDC industry. Minimum 2 years in a team management role.
  • Education:

    Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Skillset:

    • Strong understanding of EDC/POS technology and merchant needs.
    • Proven team management and leadership capability.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Data-driven approach with proficiency in CRM and Excel.
