About the Role
Cloud DevOps Engineer
hands-on platform engineering role
You will own the secure deployment lifecycle end-to-end—from infrastructure automation and certificate management to observability, performance optimization, and CI/CD reliability.
What You’ll Work On
Cloud & Kubernetes Infrastructure
- Deploy and manage microservices using
Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), Terraform, and Helm
- Operate data plane and control plane workloads across AWS and multi-cloud
- Support new regional deployments as the platform scales globally
Envoy Deployment & Certificate Management
- Deploy Envoy proxies (sidecars, forward/explicit proxies, MITM use cases)
- Manage
PKI, certificate rotation, and lifecycle automation
- Work with
SDS/xDS integrations
and customer-specific deployment patterns
Observability & OpenSearch
- Configure and troubleshoot
OpenTelemetry (OTEL) collectors
- Manage
OpenSearch indices, shards, mappings, ingestion pipelines (OSIS)
- Optimize for resiliency, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
DevOps Automation & CI/CD
- Build and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
for platform services - Implement
canary and blue-green deployments
- Manage secrets securely using
KMS / Secrets Manager
Security, Monitoring & Operations
- Review and strengthen cloud security policies and best practices
- Integrate customer identity providers (
SAML / OIDC
) - Set up monitoring and alerting using
CloudWatch
- Participate in incident response and post-mortems
- Collaborate with cloud provider support when required
- Support AI/LLM model deployment workflows
Documentation & Environment Management
- Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
- Manage
dev / staging / production
environments and upgrades
Required Qualifications
6–8+ years
of hands-on experience in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering
- Strong AWS expertise:
VPC, IAM, EC2/EKS/ECS, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB, Route53, ACM, OpenSearch
- Hands-on experience deploying
Envoy proxy
- Deep understanding of
TLS, PKI, certificate chains, SDS/xDS
- Experience with
OpenTelemetry, OpenSearch, OSIS pipelines
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience (
Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation
) - Solid Kubernetes, microservices, autoscaling, and networking knowledge
- Experience building and maintaining
CI/CD pipelines
- Strong Linux, networking, DNS, and containerization (Docker) skills
- Scripting or programming in
Python, Bash, or Go
Preferred Experience
- Multi-region or multi-cloud deployments (
AWS, GCP, Azure
) - Exposure to
AI/LLM infrastructure
(model hosting, inference, GPU workflows) - Experience with
security-focused observability
, SIEM, or DLP platforms - Understanding of
Zero Trust architectures
and identity federation
