Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of blood disorders and hematologic cancers through clinical evaluation, laboratory analysis, and imaging.
  
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including administration of chemotherapy regimens and coordination of bone marrow transplant (BMT) procedures.
  
• Monitor patient response to treatment, manage side effects, and adjust therapeutic strategies in real time.
  
• Collaborate with oncologists, transplant coordinators, nurses, and pathologists to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirations, and biopsies.
  
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards.
  
• Provide patient education and emotional support, particularly for individuals undergoing intensive therapies like BMT.
  
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-based research in onco-hematology.
  

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization or training in Hematology, Oncology, or Internal Medicine.
  
• Proven expertise in onco-hematology procedures, including bone marrow transplant (BMT) protocols and chemotherapy administration.
  
• Strong clinical acumen in diagnosing and managing hematologic malignancies and non-malignant blood disorders.
  
• Demonstrated ability in patient management, including care coordination, symptom control, and end-of-life planning when necessary.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with patients and families.
  
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and clinical data management tools.
  
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.
  
• Valid medical license and registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent).
