Civil Surveyor

Job Purpose:

The Senior Civil Surveyor will be responsible for executing and managing all surveying and leveling activities at the project site. The role involves ensuring accurate measurement, alignment, and setting out for all civil works in accordance with project drawings, design specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:Surveying & Setting Out:

• Conduct detailed topographical, boundary, and layout surveys for the site.
• Set out all structural and civil elements — foundations, columns, roads, drains, retaining walls, etc.
• Verify levels, coordinates, and dimensions before and after construction.
• Ensure all survey data is accurate, updated, and properly recorded.
• Maintain control points and benchmarks throughout the project duration.

Instrument Handling:

• Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and Theodolite.
• Calibrate and verify accuracy of instruments regularly.
• Download and process survey data for preparation of drawings and as-built records.

Coordination & Documentation:

• Coordinate with site engineers, structural engineers, and quality teams for setting-out approvals.
• Prepare and maintain survey reports, field books, and as-built drawings.
• Support the design and planning team by providing accurate site data.
• Cross-check subcontractor or vendor measurements and verify bills (if required).

Quality & Safety:

• Ensure surveying work complies with project specifications and quality control procedures.
• Follow all site safety protocols and ensure team adherence.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or deviations in levels or alignment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in land and construction surveying for infrastructure, road, drain, building, or industrial projects.

Key Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of surveying principles and methods.
• Proficiency in Total Station (Leica / Sokkia / Trimble), AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of coordinates, levels, and contouring.
• Ability to interpret drawings and prepare as-built records.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
