Civil Site Engineer

As a Civil Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in construction projects by ensuring that work is executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily construction activities on-site, ensuring that the work aligns with project plans, drawings, and specifications, and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and laborers. Your role will also involve monitoring construction quality, conducting site inspections and audits, and identifying and rectifying defects or deviations from plans. You will be responsible for planning and allocating resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, as well as liaising with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure proper communication between office and site teams. Safety and risk management will be a key aspect of your job, as you will need to enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments and hazard identification, and ensure the proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and site safety measures. Additionally, you will need to interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents, resolve technical issues on-site, and suggest design modifications when necessary. In terms of reporting and documentation, you will be required to maintain site records, daily progress reports, and work logs, document material usage and construction milestones, and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders. You will also play a role in budget and resource management by monitoring resource allocation, assisting in cost estimation and budget control, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials. Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting site surveys and setting out works, as well as ensuring accurate measurements for structures and utilities.
