Civil Quality Engineer

BE/Diploma in Civil Engineering is mandatory

The Quality Engineer ensures that all construction work, materials, and processes meet the required quality standards, regulatory codes, and project specifications. This role involves site inspections, quality audits, documentation, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure defect-free delivery of real estate projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, IS codes, building standards, safety norms, and client requirements.
• Monitor adherence to approved drawings and method statements.

2. Material Inspection & Testing

• Conduct inspection of incoming materials (cement, steel, aggregates, tiles, electrical & plumbing materials).
• Coordinate laboratory/field tests and maintain material test reports.

3. Site Quality Inspections

• Perform daily site inspections for civil, structural, MEP, finishing, waterproofing, and façade works.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rectification by contractors.

4. Quality Documentation & Audit

• Maintain QA/QC logs, inspection reports (IRs), NCRs, checklists, and work-in-progress quality records.
• Assist in internal and external quality audits.

5. Contractor Coordination & Technical Support

• Guide site contractors, supervisors, and workers on quality procedures.
• Provide technical clarification and resolve quality-related issues.

6. Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions

• Investigate recurring defects (cracks, seepage, alignment issues, rework).
• Recommend preventive measures and implement corrective action plans.

7. Handover Quality & Final Inspection

• Conduct snagging, de-snagging, and final quality checks before handover.
• Ensure all finishing meets aesthetic and functional standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering, construction materials, QA/QC methods.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and quality standards.
• Familiar with IS codes and real estate project specifications.
• Proficient in report writing, checklists, QMS, audits.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in real estate, construction, or infrastructure QA/QC.

Preferred Experience

• High-rise buildings, residential townships, commercial projects.
• Experience with waterproofing, concreting, finishing quality, and MEP coordination.
• Knowledge of RERA, ISO 9001, and safety standards.
