Civil Engineer

Core Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Design

• Prepare engineering drawings and construction layouts.
• Perform site analysis, feasibility studies, and material selection.
• Work with design software (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Revit).

2. BBS (Bar Bending Schedule) Preparation

• Interpret structural drawings and prepare accurate BBS for reinforcement work.
• Calculate cutting lengths, bend shapes, bar counts, and weight.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and contractors for timely steel requirements.
• Ensure optimization to reduce wastage and improve cost-efficiency.

3. Site Supervision & Execution

• Oversee construction activities to ensure quality and adherence to plans.
• Monitor concrete pouring, shuttering, reinforcement placing, etc.
• Ensure BBS is properly implemented on-site by contractors and workers.

4. Estimation & Cost Management

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Assist in creating BOQs and tender documents.
• Track material usage (including steel as per BBS) and manage project budgets.

5. Quality Control & Safety

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Enforce safety protocols and hazard mitigation.
• Maintain documentation and reporting of QA/QC activities.

6. Communication & Coordination

• Collaborate with architects, consultants, suppliers, and site teams.
• Coordinate timely material delivery based on construction progress and BBS needs.
• Report daily/weekly progress and resolve any site-related issues.

7. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure work follows all local building codes and environmental regulations.
• Assist in obtaining permits and statutory clearances.

Key Skills Required

• BBS preparation & steel reinforcement detailing
• AutoCAD, MS Excel (for BBS), STAAD Pro, Revit
• Quantity surveying and estimation
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Communication, teamwork, and leadership
• Knowledge of IS codes, construction standards, and safety norms

Educational Qualification: B-Tech or Diploma.

Experience: Minimum 4 Years

Salary: As per Industry Norms

Pay: ₹10,591.64 - ₹44,975.34 per month
