CIAM Engineer (Auth0 Expertise Required) š Work type Remote š Experience: 5+ years š¼ Client: Weāre looking to onboard a skilled CIAM Engineer to work with one of our prestigious clients. This role goes beyond standard configuration ā weāre seeking hands-on engineers who can design and implement secure, scalable identity workflow s within Auth0 using Node.js and JavaScript . Responsibilities Design and develop custom workflows, actions, and library integrations within Auth0, using Node.js and JavaScript, as part of onboarding new applications. Go beyond basic configurationsāthis role demands hands-on development of logic tied to each application's identity and access flow. Work closely with client teams to gather application requirements and implement complex CIAM solutions tailored to those needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, product, engineering) to ensure CIAM implementations are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. Build and manage custom APIs, rules, hooks, and triggers in Auth0 to support dynamic identity requirements. Integrate Auth0 with existing enterprise platforms, ensuring smooth, secure authentication across systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to identity workflows and authentication/authorization failures. Ensure all development aligns with modern identity protocols like OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and JWT. Document and maintain architecture diagrams, workflow logic, and integration guides for internal reference and future scalability. Qualifications Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) or CIAM engineering roles. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js development. Hands-on experience with Auth0 is mandatory, including building and deploying workflows using Auth0 Rules, Actions, and Hooks. Exposure to Okta or other Identity Providers (IDPs) is a plus. Proven experience in building and managing custom API-based integrations. In-depth understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and JWT. Ability to write clean, modular, and testable code, and debug independently (GitHub Copilot may be used as a support tool, but not relied upon solely). Familiarity with CI/CD tools and secure development best practices. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
