Job Description

The Chief Security Officer will be responsible for the overall security and administrative management of the petrochemical plant. The role involves implementing and maintaining robust security systems, ensuring compliance with statutory and safety regulations, managing facility administration, and fostering coordination among various departments to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate will bring discipline, leadership, and operational excellence to protect people, property, and processes within a high-risk industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:A. Security Management

  • Develop and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures for the plant.
  • Supervise and manage all security staff and outsourced agencies.
  • Monitor and control access to the plant premises, including personnel, vehicles, and materials.
  • Oversee CCTV surveillance systems, gate operations, and patrolling activities.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and threat analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial safety and security norms under relevant Acts (PESO, Factory Act, etc.).
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services, and civil authorities on security and emergency matters.
  • Lead the emergency response team (ERT) for incidents such as fire, explosion, theft, or sabotage.

B. Administration Management

  • Supervise general administration functions such as housekeeping, transport, canteen, and facility maintenance.
  • Manage employee accommodation, guest house, and welfare facilities.
  • Ensure proper vendor management and service contracts for administrative and security services.
  • Handle documentation, record-keeping, and compliance reports for security and administration.
  • Support HR and Operations in disciplinary matters, event management, and statutory inspections.
  • Maintain effective liaison with local government bodies, police, and civic authorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Retired Major / Lt. Colonel / Colonel from Indian Army or equivalent rank from Navy/Air Force.
  • 8–15 years of combined experience in security and administrative management (industrial or corporate).
  • Prior experience in petrochemical / refinery / manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and crisis management skills.
  • Proficiency in security systems, emergency response, and compliance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
