Job Title: Chief of Staff / Business Manager
Location: MumbaiOrganisation: MNC BankRole OverviewThe Business Manager will play a critical role in enabling the Country Head and senior leadership to drive the Bank's strategic priorities. The role is responsible for setting the agenda, driving key committee meetings, ensuring timely preparation of minutes, and monitoring the execution of decisions by stakeholders. Acting as a central enabler, the Business Manager provides oversight, coordination, and execution support across strategic initiatives, governance, and stakeholder management to ensure alignment with the Bank's business plan and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Committee Management: Drive preparation for key governance and business committee meetings, including agenda setting, collation of inputs, documentation, and follow-up of action items.
  • Project & Initiative Management: Lead and support special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the Country Head, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities.
  • Governance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure strong governance processes, adherence to internal policies, and compliance with regulatory requirements through effective coordination across teams.
  • Stakeholder & Communication Management: Serve as a central point of coordination between internal teams, senior management, and external stakeholders; ensure timely, accurate, and transparent communication.
  • Organisational Effectiveness: Support business planning, performance monitoring, and execution effectiveness; identify and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Issue Resolution: Anticipate and proactively address potential execution risks or challenges, escalating appropriately where required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline (MBA, CFA, CA preferred).
  • 10-15 years of experience in banking/financial services, with at least 5 years in a global bank.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business management, planning, governance, or operations.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and operational landscape of an international bank.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
